Hi everyone. Once again we’ve been really quiet on here and for that I’m super sorry. We’ll do better for you now, baby, I promise. Anyway, there’s a couple of interesting things we can talk about today, so here goes:
EP Copies Our handmade copies of the EP are proving to be pretty popular! We’re really glad people have been enjoying them. If you’ve snagged...

02/04/12 - EP odds and ends, launch gig.
Hello, hello, hello. First of all, I’m really sorry that we didn’t do some hilarious and original April Fool’s joke, like pretended to have written a dubstep version of our album, or that Greg had died in a house fire. Most importantly though, we’d like to thank every single one of you who downloaded our recently released EP. We’ve been blown away with the response...

You’re a fan, that’s all. Nothing to be ashamed of. Ok a little bit.
People said I’d never get over my addiction to Phil Collins, but Take A Look At Me Now.

Lovely words about us, courtesy of Gigseen. →
“Arbor Lights have a great sound (and great taste - lots ofMogwai-respect on their site) and have made their debut with an excellently realised set of cracking tunes that can only serve to propel them further onto the radar of a wide swathe of potential fans. Give it a spin.”
Thank you, Gigseen!

Arbor Lights, “Arbor Lights EP”, 2012, Post-rock
Well! I was waiting for this to arrive. I’m not a good critic espacially in english, but here’s my first impression : very refreshing. good melodies. catchy riffs. nice constructions
We could have one regret : sonsg are a bit too short, we could have like some crescendos like post rock can do so well. But it’s a choice I’m...

Sheffield.
What an excellent night…our first proper gig in another city went pretty well! Technical troubles all over the place and a busted monitor made the sound on stage akin to wet arses slapping together at times, but hopefully if you caught us you enjoyed it. The other bands tonight were amazing as well. Brains For Breakfast is one guy, not a band, but he played some excellent acoustic music,...

Our first gigs of 2012!
Hello all,
We’re happy to announce our first couple of gigs of the year, they’re both in February and they’re both free! We’re playing with some wonderful bands, and they’re going to be a lot of fun.
4/2/12 - The Actress & Bishop, Birmingham w/ Mauna Loa, Jura & Killer Yogi
13/2/12 - West Street Live, Sheffield w/ Brains For Breakfast, Cable35, Puzzles...
Check out the Mauna Loa BandPage on Facebook! →
We have the pleasure of playing with these guys on their first ever show, it’s going to brilliant! Check out their new song. It’s got glockenspiels, and mental time signatures. It’s bloody great.

nobodysanswering replied to your photo: Hands up now, who wants this on a t-shirt?
actually i liked the one with the rain clouds, fx pedals, and boom-snap-crash. if you remember.
I’m actually amazed someone else remembers this! This was something I’d designed myself, but I’ve lost the illustrator files…it’s a shame! Sorry.

12/12/11 - A mostly unexciting update.
Progress continues on the EP. We’re onto the mixing stage, and so far it’s sounding pretty unbelievable. The artwork is also in some incredibly capable hands, and I’m personally getting really excited to be able to show you guys something soon. It’s going to be nice to have something to show for the last few months!
We’re playing one more show this year - at The...
